How we work

The MYDF has established a network of programmes to help young people tackle the problems they encounter in contemporary Mongolia, focused on five main areas of Child Prostitution, Health, Youth Participation , Youth Media and Career Support. Within the framework of these programmes we organise training sessions and workshops, conduct research and develop surveys and produce guidelines and brochures for the use of youth and social workers. As well as on going initiatives we organise large scale events such as the annual International Education Fair and the ADB Children's Art Competition.

In addition the MYDF co-ordinates volunteer and exchange programmes on a local and international level. Each year we place volunteers in a number of organisations where help is greatly needed and the annual Volunteer Work Camp has been receiving participants to aid vulnerable children since 2001. The exchange programme runs the International Youth Summer Camp, an annual adventure based holiday set up to encourage cross-cultural exchange between young people from Mongolia and the worldwide community. The MYDF also has the capacity to organise group exchanges between Mongolian youth and international participants in cooperation with foreign based youth organisations.
